World Kindness Day
The power of acts of kindness: “If it wasn’t for Betty, I’d probably be in the house all the time." Earlier this year we asked people to share stories of acts of kindness that they had experienced that had made a difference to them, and we’ve been listening out through the year for other stories of kindness and loneliness.

A few weekends ago I met a gentleman called George who has recently moved into a retirement village in Sheffield. “I was withering away alone at home” he told me. “I knew I had to do something, but moving here hasn’t quite been what I thought.”
Firth Park ward neighbourhood toolkit
The third Age Better in Sheffield Neighbourhood Toolkit has officially launched in Sheffield’s Firth Park ward. The toolkit has been informed by and co-designed with local residents of all ages, and is being posted to 7,000 homes in the area over the next few weeks.
