Ageing Better Celebration Event
In summer 2019 Sheffield hosted the first Ageing Better Celebration event which saw all 14 partnerships join together to share and celebrate the success of the programme so far.
Ageing Better Celebration
Spending two days together celebrating the national success of Ageing Better was definitely one of the highlights of 2019. We heard from each of the different programmes, met lots of new people and enjoyed some brilliant speakers and workshops – you can find out more about everything that happened by reading the project report.
Across the two days each of the partnership organisations delivered a workshop focusing on a range of different specialisms including challenging stereotypes, having an influene, co-production, transport challenges and more. You can read more about each of the workshops here and you can also view presentation slides from Sheffield, Manchester, Middlesborough and East Lindsey.
Lots of people said that their highlight of the event was hearing from the different speakers (especially Grandma Williams who stole the show!). Here you can check out the slides from Sophy Proctor’s presentation (National Lottery Community Fund) and Paul Cann’s presentation (Campaign to End Loneliness).
We’d like to say another big thank you to everyone who visited us for the event and took part so enthusiastically. We can’t wait to see what else comes from the final years of the Ageing Better programme.
