Exploring the Intimate and Sexual Relationships of Older Adults
Tuesday 17th September 2019 | 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Sheffield Quaker Meeting House, 10 St James Street, S1 2EW
The theme for Sexual Health Week this year is “Making Sexual Health Inclusive” and we’re very excited to be hosting a working lunch with the University of Sheffield during this important week!
Throughout the event you will have the opportunity to hear from the brilliant Dr Sharron Hinchliff. Sharron has been leading a programme of research into intimate and sexual relationships of older people since 2001. You might also recognise Sharron from her work with local artist Peter McKee on the “Age of Love” project, which has been helping to start conversations and break down taboos around sexual and intimate relationships of older people.
The event will be interactive and aims to raise your awareness, as well as deepen understanding of this personal topic. Whether your work includes supporting the well-being of older people, or if you have an interest in the development of age friendly policies – this is for you!
Places are free but limited so if you are interested in attending, please send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org. We will then contact you to confirm if a place is available for you.
If you can’t make it to this but would like to be kept informed of future Age Better in Sheffield events, please get in touch and we’ll add you to our mailing list.
