On your own on Christmas day?

This year we’re hosting two free Christmas lunch events for people aged 50 or over, who will be alone on Christmas Day. The events are going to be held at the White Willows in Lowedges and the Meadows in Shirecliffe.

When we first started work on Age Better in Sheffield we spoke to lots of older people across the city. They told us that bank holidays are one of the loneliest times for them and many people will be spending Christmas Day this year with only the television for company.

We want to change this through Age Better in Sheffield.

This year we’re hosting two free Christmas lunch events for people aged 50 or over, who will be alone on Christmas Day. The events are going to be held at the White Willows in Lowedges and the Meadows in Shirecliffe.

The events will be staffed entirely by volunteers and funded by donations.

The events are open to anyone who live in the Beauchief, Greenhill, or Burngreave wards of Sheffield. Please note that these are wards and cover other areas and districts, such as Lowedges, Batemoor, Longley and Shirecliffe but if you’re not sure just get in touch.

If you would like to join us on Christmas Day please contact Luisa on luisa@igniteimaginations.org.uk or 0114 2686813.

Please share this with your networks and print off and display the poster where you can.
